Miss Loran Alivia Daniels

Loran “Alivia” Daniels, 18, of Bowman, GA entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. Though her time on earth was far too short, Alivia lived a life that reflected the love, grace, and joy of Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord more than anything and faithfully shined His light everywhere she went. Her faith was not only something she professed—it was something she lived each day. She never met a stranger, never complained, and never spoke a harsh word about anyone. Alivia graduated from Athens Christian School, where she excelled both academically, personally, and was honored by her peers as Homecoming Queen. She aspired to become a dentist, a profession that seemed perfectly suited for someone whose own smile could light up any room. Intelligent, determined, and incredibly gifted, Alivia approached every opportunity with excellence. There was seemingly nothing she couldn't do once she set her mind to it. She worked at Dressing Dreams in Hartwell, where her sense of style flourished. She was a gifted musician, a talented seamstress, and enjoyed photography. She delighted in finding hidden treasures while thrifting, loved a great bargain, adored children, and was always ready with a laugh—or one of her famous "dad jokes." She was an old soul who appreciated the simple, meaningful things in life and found beauty wherever she looked. Alivia will be remembered for the way she made others feel. She loved deeply, encouraged freely, and lived with genuine compassion. Her joyful spirit, contagious laughter, unwavering faith, and Christ-like love touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her life serves as a beautiful reminder that a life measured in years can still have an eternal impact. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Brandy Letitia Mahaffey Knott (Kevin) of Jacksonville, FL and Jared Wayne Daniels of Elberton, GA; siblings, Kayla Alysse Lightsey of Littleton, CO, Hunter Scott Lightsey of Jacksonville, FL, Nicolas James Knott of Rockmart, GA, and Jared Wayne Daniels, II; nephews, Carver, Alexander and Archer; grandparents, Richard and Ruthann Barrs of Cochran, GA and Letitia Crawford of Powder Springs, GA; love of her life, Hudson Mize; and future in-laws, Josh and Brittany Mize of Bowman, GA, Lola Mize, Caroline Mize and Alexa Mize. She also leaves behind many extended family members, countless friends and all whose lives were forever changed by her kindness, faith, and love. A celebration of Alivia’s life will be held in Bethany Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, with Rev. Luther Thomason officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until funeral hour on Thursday afternoon. During other times, the family will be at the home of Josh and Brittany Mize; 2361 Pleasant Grove Road Bowman. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
