Mrs. Barbara Katherine Dalton Gordon, 90, of Royston, GA passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center in Royston. Mrs. Gordon was born on October 30, 1929, daughter of the late Alvery Dalton and the late Viola Skinner Dalton. She was a cook having worked at the Royston Drive In and was a member of the Royston Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Buddy Gordon; son, Jerry Michael Gordon; brothers, Larry Dalton and Roger Dalton; and sisters, Rebecca Standridge, Dorothy Owensby and Elizabeth Holiday. Survivors include her grandchildren, Shane Gordon of Royston, GA, Tonya Bertin of Sandy Springs, GA and Tara Suarez of Miami, FL; adopted son, David Smith of Cornelia, GA; adopted granddaughters, Nakisha Smith and Teanna Smith; brother, Merel Dalton of Jefferson, GA; and sisters, Margie Fitzpatrick of Danielsville, GA, Angie Hernandez of Gainesville, GA and Norma Cromer of Spartanburg, SC. A graveside service for Mrs. Gordon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2020, in the Franklin Memorial Gardens- South with Rev. James Gunn officiating. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
