Mr. Bates Landreth

Mr. Bates Earl Landreth, 81, of Aiken, SC passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013, at the Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center in Lavonia, GA. Mr. Landreth was born in Batesburg, SC on June 28, 1932, son of the late Bennett Landreth and the late Mae Riddleholder Landreth. He owned and operated Landreth Monument Company of Aiken, SC and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Landreth was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Valentine Landreth. Survivors include his children, Frank Landreth and his wife, Sheri Moon Landreth of Bowman, GA, Cheryl Landreth Hayes and her husband, Mark of Stanford, KY; grandchildren, Cassandra Landreth Mize and her husband, Luke, Megan Landreth, Emily Landreth, Madelyn Landreth and Nathan Landreth. A memorial service for Mr. Landreth will be held at a later date. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
