Mr. Eddie Lamar Witcher, 78, of Royston, GA passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021, at his home. Mr. Witcher was born in Monroe, GA on December 9, 1942, son of the late James Alanzo Witcher and the late Mary Annie Farmer Witcher. He was an electronic technician having worked for AT&T and he was also a United States Army Reserves Veteran. Mr. Witcher was active in the Beulah Church of Elberton, GA and Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. He was also a member of the NRA, Good Sam, Patriot Guard Riders and was Assistant Scout Master for Troop 70. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Veronica Duncan, Beth Robinson and Patricia Autry. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Moon Witcher; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Amy Witcher of Danielsville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Tony Johnson of Royston; grandchildren, Zach Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Micah Witcher, Noah Witcher and Kinley Witcher; brother, Jim Witcher of Snellville, GA; and sisters, Martha Neal of Centerville, GA and Donna Bullington of Gray, GA. Funeral services for Mr. Witcher will be held in the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, with Rev. Don Nestor and Rev. Harrison Lampley officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens- South in Royston. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until funeral hour on Friday afternoon and request that mask be worn and social distancing guidelines be followed. The family is at the home. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
