Mr. Frank Johnson Grizzle, Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Frank Johnson Grizzle, Sr., 89, of Carnesville, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the St. Mary’s Hospice House in Watkinsville, GA. Mr. Grizzle was born in Tate City, GA on March 10, 1927, son of the late James Grizzle and the late Lillie Burch Grizzle. He was a maintenance worker having worked with Oliver Rubber Company and a WWII United States Army Veteran. Mr. Grizzle was a member of the New Hope Congregational Holiness Church in Royston, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Gladis Adams Grizzle and Gertrude Kitchens Grizzle; son, Mike Grizzle; grandson, Avery Sorrow; and by numerous brother and sisters. Survivors include his sons, Randall Evans of Maysville, GA, Frank Grizzle, Jr. of Danielsville, GA, and Kenneth Grizzle of Danielsville, GA; daughters, Rebecca Hunter of Lula, GA, Janet Bakunas of Commerce, GA, and Anita Evans of Danielsville, GA; brother, Ed Grizzle of Royston, GA; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Grizzle will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2016 at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Ivester officiating. Interment will follow in the Cary Memorial Gardens in Royston, GA. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The family is at the home of Mr. Frank Grizzle, Jr.: 550 Wesley Chapel Road Danielsville, GA. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
