Mrs. Georgia Dudley Christian, 83, of Dewy Rose, GA passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. Mrs. Christian was born in Royston, GA on March 9, 1936, daughter of the late Moses Doc Dudley and the late Mary Lou Perry Dudley. She was a powder room worker having worked at Johnson & Johnson and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bowman, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Obie Guy Christian, Sr.; son, Obie Guy Christian, Jr.; daughter, Kathy Bennett; and sister, Virginia Brooks. Survivors include her sons, Michael Wayne Christian and Rose Griffin of Stockbridge, GA, Jerry Wayne Christian of Dewy Rose, GA, Terry Dwayne Christian of Athens, GA and Steven and Shannon Christian of Dewy Rose, GA; daughter, Debra and Robert Stansell of Dewy Rose, GA; brother, Jimmy Dudley of Danielsville, GA; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Christian will be held in the Faith Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, with Rev. Jamie Callaway, Rev. Roger Whitten and Rev. Josh Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Faith Baptist Church from 12:30 p.m. until funeral hour on Tuesday afternoon.
