Mrs. Geraldine Motes Coker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Geraldine Motes Coker, 70, of Canon, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. Mrs. Coker was born in Chicago, IL on March 20, 1952, daughter of the late Richard Motes and the late Louise Lewallen Motes. She was a homemaker and member of Gateway Believers Fellowship in Carnesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five sisters. Survivors include her husband, William David Coker, Sr.; sons, William David Coker, Jr. (LeeAnne) of Homer, GA, Mickey Thomas Coker of Royston, GA, Jerald Andrew Coker (Stephanie) of Carnesville, GA, Louie Paul Coker (Melissa) of Hartwell, GA; daughter, Gloria Renae Hunter (Jason) of Mt. Airy, GA; brothers, Sonny Motes and Richard Motes both of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Coker will be held in the Gateway Believers Fellowship at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022, with Rev. Tananarive Singleton officiating. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening. During other times the family will be at the home. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Gateway Believers Fellowship at 6475 Highway 145 Carnesville, GA 30521. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
