Mrs. Janie Rudene Ayers Busby Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Janie Rudene Ayers Busby, 85, of Royston, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Busby was born in Royston, GA on August 9, 1936, daughter of the late George Mitchell Ayers and the late Martha Jane Pritchett Ayers. She was a seamstress having worked at Oxford Manufacturing and later worked in the lunchroom at Royston Elementary School. Mrs. Busby was also of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burnice Howard Busby; son, Larry Busby; daughter, Peggy McGaha; grandson, Jeremy Kidd; great-grandson, Maleke Moon; and all her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Aldrich of Commerce, GA; daughter-in-law, Anna Busby of Royston, GA; step-son, Blake Busby of Canon, GA; grandchildren, Michael Busby, Christie R. Busby, Wendy B. Griffin, Jill Royston, Brad Royston, April McDowell, Brandi Warren, Courtney Meadors, Kevin Busby, Scott Busby and Mandy Grizzle; twenty-five great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Busby will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, with Rev. Hugh Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens- South in Royston. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022. During other times the family will be at the home. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
