Mr. Jimmy Cornelious Lunsford, 77, of Canon, GA passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. Mr. Lunsford was born in Royston, GA on September 1, 1941, son of the late Woodrow W. Lunsford and the late Mary Frances Whitsel Lunsford. He was a supervisor having worked at Cooper Tire and was of the Holiness faith. Survivors include his wife and the love of his life for 41 years, Charlotte Ann Moon Lunsford; sons, Stephen Lunsford of Royston, GA and Stacy Lunsford of Elberton, GA; daughter, Stephanie Lamb of Canon, GA; brothers, Waymon Lunsford and Alton Lunsford both of Canon, GA; grandchildren, Brandon, Avery, Colby and Levi; and great grandchild, Brayden. Funeral services for Mr. Lunsford will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019, with Rev. Eddie Wiggins and Rev. Terry Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens- South in Royston, GA. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.
