Mr. Jimmy Hoke Norton

Mr. Jimmy Hoke Norton, 75, of Royston, GA passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the Hart Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hartwell, GA. Mr. Norton was born in Royston, GA on September 17, 1946, son of the late Hoke Smith Norton and the late Frances Louise Findley Norton. He worked for Eagle Granite and was a retired United States Army National Guard Veteran having served during Vietnam. Mr. Norton was also a member of the Liberty Congregational Church in Dewy Rose, GA. Survivors include his wife, Gail Brock Norton; daughter, Cheryl Gunnin (Steve) of Comer, GA; brothers, Terry Norton of Bowman, GA and Harold Norton of Elberton, GA; sister, Toni Moon of Royston, GA; step-children, Cynthia Hall Gray (Gary) of Royston, GA and Christy Hall Kotal (Jerry) of Elberton, GA; grandchildren, Kyle Bradford (Jordan), Lucas Bradford, Piper Gray, Alexa Kotal Webb (Jonathan) and Tori Kotal; and great-grandchildren, McKennon Bradford, Barrett Bradford, Beau Bradford and Asher Webb. Funeral services for Mr. Norton will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022, with Rev. Billy Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Congregational Church Cemetery in Dewy Rose. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. During other times the family will be at the home. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
