Ms. Kathleen Vander Waal

Ms. Kathleen Gayle Vander Waal, age 51, of Royston, GA passed away Friday, July 04, 2014 at her home. Ms. Vander Waal was born in Pella, Iowa on March 23, 1963, daughter of Mrs. Phyllis Waits Bittner of Battlefield, MO and the late Sidney Vander Waal. She was a talented piano player having played at Royston Baptist Church where she was a member. Survivors include her children, Justin Bivona of Royston, GA and Kara Beiler of Farmville, VA; three grandchildren; brother, Doug Vander Waal; stepfather, Lawrence Bittner of Battlefield, MO; stepbrothers, Rick Bittner and Brian Bittner both of Oskaloosa, IA; and stepsister, Christina Smith of Rio Rancho, NM. Memorial services for Ms. Vander Waal will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 08, 2014 at the Royston Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathon Barlow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the church sanctuary. The family is at their respective homes. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
