Mrs. Mary Alice Fowler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mama has fought a good fight. She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Mary Alice Freeman Fowler, 81, wife of the late Winfred Fowler, passed away on Saturday, April 04, 2015, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation in Royston, GA. Mrs. Fowler was born in Canon, GA on January 06, 1934, daughter of the late Lawrence Freeman and the late Mae Belle Campbell Freeman. She was a seamstress having worked for Georgia Sportswear and a member of the New Hope Worship Center. Mrs. Fowler was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry, Arthur, and Paul Freeman; sister, Sara Barton. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Robin Fowler of Colbert, GA, Eddy Ward Fowler of Danielsville, GA, and Timothy Earl Fowler of Danielsville, GA; grandchildren, Blake Fowler, Evan Fowler, Haley Fowler, Autumn (Sean) McGuire, Myles Fowler, Logan Fowler; great grandson, Ryan McGuire; brother, Doyle Freeman of Carnesville, GA; sisters, Annie Thomas of Danielsville, GA and Edna Dalton of Danielsville, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Fowler will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 08, 2015, at the New Hope Worship Center in Danielsville, GA with Rev. David Carey, Rev. Glenn Lyles, Rev. Mike Spence, and Rev. Tim Beasley officiating. Mrs. Fowler will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Fowler, Earl James, Jr., Myles Fowler, Tommy Cleveland, Sean McGuire, Terry Dalton, Jeff Dalton, and Zeb Osley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake and Evan Fowler. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The family is at the home. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the New Hope Worship Center, 8485 Hwy 29 N, Danielsville, GA 30633. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
