Mrs. Sara Rachel Beck Ginn, 86, of Canon, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the AnMed Regional Medical Center in Anderson, SC. Mrs. Ginn was born on January 26, 1929 in Hartwell, GA, daughter of the late James W. Beck, Sr. and the late Lula Slaton Beck. She was a homemaker and a member of the Royston First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, James W. Ginn of Canon, GA; children and spouses, Melinda (Wayne) Mewborn of Royston, GA, Warren (Paula) Ginn of Greensboro, NC, Barry (Sheila) Ginn of Hartwell, GA, Karen (Andy) Almond of Royston, GA and Neal (Teresa) Ginn of Marion, NC; sister, Eloise Jones of Elberton, GA; grandchildren and spouses, Matt (Karen) Mewborn, Justin (Beth) Mewborn, Ryan (Mandy) Mewborn, Jared (Hope) Ginn, Greta (Richard) Meads, Lindsey (Kristopher) Williams, Sasha Ginn, Elijah Ginn, Jamie (Johnathan) Harris, Zachary Almond, Luke Almond, Sara Ginn, Lauren Ginn, Jake Ginn and Natalie Ginn; great-grandchildren, Logan Williams, Olivia Mewborn, Mackenzie Meads, Bentley Ginn, Mason Meads, Hayden Williams and Dash Harris. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ginn was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Beck and J.W. Beck; sisters, Frances Reynolds, Evelyn Peyton, Elizabeth Stewart and Felicia Miles. Funeral services for Mrs. Ginn will be held at Royston First United Methodist Church at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 with Rev. Jim Bocian officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Royston, GA. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday evening. The family is at the home. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
