Mr. Robert Ambrose Adams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Robert Ambrose Adams, 84, of Royston, GA, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016, at Pruitt Health-Toccoa in Toccoa, GA. Mr. Adams was born in Royston, GA, on April 02, 1931, son of the late William Lloyd Adams and the late Minnie Mann Adams. He worked in sales for Spartan Grain in Spartanburg, SC, and was a member of the Royston Baptist Church. Mr. Adams was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and a member of the Harrison Lee McCrary, Jr. Post #4828. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Osley Adams of Royston, GA; children, Gary Adams of Royston, GA, Sharon Gilstrap and husband, Stan of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer and Michael Lee, Galen and Elizabeth Adams; great grandchildren, Kenzie Adams, Karson Adams and Hudson Lee; sister, Dot Jones of Royston, GA, In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Adams and Calvin Adams; sisters, Peggy Williams and Hilda Walters. Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at the Royston Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Barton and Rev. Jonathan Barlow officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens-South in Royston, GA. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The family is at the home. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Royston Baptist Church, 767 Church Street, Royston, GA 30662. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
