Mrs. Jane Hill McCall

Mrs. Jane Hill McCall, 89, of Canon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, Georgia. Born on April 17, 1937, in Gastonia, North Carolina, Mrs. McCall was the daughter of the late Jack D. Hill and Guynell Winn Hill. She retired from Johnson & Johnson after many years of dedicated service and was a faithful member of Canon United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph McCall; and sister, Gayle Maxwell. Mrs. McCall is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sabrina McCall of Anderson, South Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Mike Millikan of Grayson, Georgia; sisters, Lynn Barton of Royston, Georgia, and Judy Hill of Anderson, South Carolina; and cherished grandchildren, Lauren McCall (Karan) of London, England, Andrew McCall (Jenna) of Anderson, South Carolina, Ryan Millikan (Yessie) of Norcross, GA, Sam Millikan of Grayson, Georgia, and William Millikan (Katie) of Winder, Georgia. Jane will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and love of simple beauty. She loved tending her flowers, and her yard reflected the beauty and care she put into everything she did. She especially enjoyed an evening drive through the countryside, taking in the beauty of God's creation and the peacefulness of rural life. Though she was quiet and reserved, her warmth was evident to all who knew her, and she affectionately called people “Honey”. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of The Gables, Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation, and the nursing staff of St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to Mrs. McCall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Canon United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Nester officiating. Entombment will follow at the Franklin Memorial Gardens–North in Lavonia, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until funeral hour on Saturday.
